After purchasing a Puukko knife in Finland during the spring of 2001, Paul developed a strong desire to create traditional Scandinavian style knives for his own use. Once he had spent time familiarizing himself with the skills required for traditional Northern European knifecraft, as well as the incredible number of talented knife makers around the world, Paul decided to pursue the methods of Swedish antlerknife maker, Ulf Avander .
