A Playful Probability

Interested in other ways to engage your visitors? History Anew can provide your venue or budding program with a Touch Box (see album below) or a Creation - a reproduced artifact that has been re-designed to pack an interactive punch. Creations include historical toys, puzzles, games, or other items for children that have been created with secret compartments or hidden treasures. All of our Creations can be used at your visitor information desk to keep inquisitive minds busy and create dialogue between your visitors. The same creation items could then be offered in your gift store as a memento of a visitors experience at your site.

(This page is under construction :) More albums will soon be added.)

This box was created for The Forest Management Branch of Sustainable Resource Development Alberta. It will be used for forestry demonstrations, presentations, festivals and special events as an interactive 'mystery' box. It was created from oak using traditional woodworking methods and hand tools (except for an electric drill). Be brave, put your hand in and guess what's inside!

These pulleys were created for the Prairie Flower Waldorf School in Edmonton, AB. to be used in their kindergarten class. They have been made using the pulley making system outlined in the Book of Seamanship, published in Liverpool, England, in 1867. They allow the kindergarten children to lift things much heavier than themselves and to bridge large gaps with their wooden cable-cars (Science and Engineering).

Two products that we made for the Prairie Flower Waldorf School in Edmonton in 2010.

We made four sets of playstands as well as two single pulleys and one double.
