We named this darling goat George. It took us an extended period of time to find a goat with just the right specs for use as lean and healthy meat and, just as importantly, for the leather we require to make medieval Scandinavian shoes. We always prefer to source our own meat and do the work of butchering ourselves. We feel it affords us greater appreciation of the work, time, and effort it takes to put meat on one's daily menu. As well, our business requires an extensive amount of natural materials and, historically speaking, animals were one of the primary sources of those materials. Most importantly - we use absolutely every part of the animal - the marrow, bones, horns, eyes, brain, stomach, etc. - everything is used for our historical bushcraft. We are doing our best to follow thousands of years of tradition.
