February 13 - 15th: History Anew participated in a Workshop Weekend hosted by the Vikings Canada group Odin's Ravens. Together, Paul and Cherise presented two Viking related workshops to those who attended: Medieval Scandinavian Firelighting and Medieval Scandinavian Spruce - Root Coil Basketry. An album of this event will soon be posted.

February 16th: History Anew took both parents and children on a journey to the medieval town of Hedeby, Juteland, in the year 1008 C.E. Please click on the picture to the right for the album of this event.

April 4th - 11th: History Anew was asked to teach a workshop on how to construct tenth-century Hedeby low boots/high shoes to the Huscarles!, a group of enthusiastic Society for Creative Anachronism members. An album of this event will soon be posted.

June 13th: DIJ participated in the Gods of War Trainer. This was a private event. Please see this article, published in the Pincher Creek Echo, for more details.

June 27th: History Anew presented one hours worth of interesting facts on the subject of The World of the Unknown in Medieval Scandinavia at the Riverbend branch of the Edmonton Public Library. It was an all ages show. An album of this event will soon be posted.

July 11th : History Anew participated in the Odin's Raven Fundraiser at the Sherlock Holmes pub in Capilano. An album of this event will soon be posted.

August 8th: History Anew participated in the Danish Canadian National Museum's Folke Fest.
August 23rd: History Anew participated in the homecoming of the Freydis Joanna at the Danish Canadian National Museum. An album of both events will soon be posted.
